Karen McLean RMT

Registered Massage Therapist with a special interest in Pre- and Post-Natal Therapy

I graduated from OVCMT with a diploma of Massage Therapy in 2001. Soon after, I returned to my home town of 100 Mile House where I worked as the Rehabilitation Assistant in the Physiotherapy department within the 100 Mile House Hospital and practiced Massage Therapy from my home based clinic.

In July 2014, I moved to Kamloops with my husband and my 3 busy sons. I work out of Kamloops Massage Matters with an area of special interest in pregnancy massage and post-natal massage. I continue to work with a multidimensional clientele and have gained much experience with treating scar tissues, surgical rehabilitation, and stress tension. Beyond standard massage schooling, I continue to upgrade my education in interesting and inspiring techniques which focus on gentle methods of treating conditions and pathologies.  Among my favorites are muscle energy, myofascial, and joint mobilizations.

I enjoy spending time with my family exploring the city and all it has to offer. In the winter, we can usually be found at the hockey rink and when we are not busy with hockey, we like to spend time together as a family at Sun Peaks. In the warmer months, we like to spend time boating, swimming and camping. So far, we are loving life in Kamloops and look forward to many more exciting years.
