Registered Massage Therapist
I am a graduate of OVCMT (Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy) in Vernon, BC and am just beginning my journey as a Registered Massage Therapist. Taking the massage therapy program was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I genuinely love what I do, and couldn’t be more excited to be able to assist people in their journey to health and wellness. During my time at OVCMT I was able to work with clients with many different concerns and/or conditions, including post-cancer, post-surgery/injury, neurological/systemic conditions, sports, maternity, assisted living, and many more. I enjoyed each outreach and at this time do not have a clinical focus, however I do especially enjoy working with clients with neurological conditions, PTSD, post-surgical and the geriatric population.
My tentative plans for future development include courses on muscle energy and craniosacral techniques. At this time techniques I find beneficial include Swedish massage, myofascial release, deep tissue, joint play, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), basic lymph drainage and passive range of motion. I believe in providing clients with tools they can use at home to be actively involved in their rehabilitation through stretches, strengthening exercises, hydrotherapy and/or modifications to their everyday life.
I look forward to starting this new journey with Kamloops Massage Matters and am thankful to all those who have supported me along the way.
