Andrea graduated with a Clinical Masters of Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2005, after completing a Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia in 2002. Starting her career working in private clinics and the hospital, she found her true passion working in outpatient oncology at a clinic in Ottawa treating women with breast cancer.
Andrea has taken post graduate courses in Manual Therapy, Myofascial Release, Mckenzie technique, SFMA, Acupuncture, Dry Needling, and Complete Decongestive Therapy (Norton school).
Using her clinical knowledge and hands on treatment, Andrea helps patients with breast cancer increase neck, shoulder, and arm mobility post surgically (mastectomy, lympectomy or reconstruction) and following radiation. She also provides education and treatment to manage chest and arm swelling (lymphedema). Employing various pain reduction techniques, Andrea works with patients enabling them to return to activities they enjoy. Working with Andrea, patients can maintain the benefits of treatment through a personally designed home exercise program.
Having recently relocated to Kamloops, Andrea, her husband and three young children are enjoying many of the outdoor activities BC has to offer.
